Privacy policy
What we collect
- "Lift the lid" prize claims. Your mobile number and email (both required), your ticket number and the sealed prize assigned to it, the time of the claim, the page or ad that brought you here (UTM tags and referrer), and technical details of the request (a hashed IP address and browser type) that we use to spot abuse and repeat claims.
- Site analytics. If we add the Meta Pixel or Google Analytics, those tools set cookies and send the provider information about your visit (pages viewed, a signup event, and standard device data) so we can measure and improve our ads. You can limit this in your browser or through your Facebook ad settings.
- Browser storage. The site remembers your ticket number in your own browser's local storage so you see it again when you come back. Nothing in that storage is sent to us.
How we use it
- To hold your ticket, send you the prize reveal and code on opening day, and honor it at the counter during opening week.
- To email you, and text you if you opted in, about opening day, new dishes, hours and offers from San Wei. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- To prevent repeat claims and abuse of the promotion.
Who we share it with
We use service providers to run the site and send messages: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), advertising measurement tools if enabled, and the texting and email platforms we send through. They process data only to provide those services. We do not sell your personal information.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Texting
When you enter your mobile number on a form that says so and submit it, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing and informational texts from San Wei at that number. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or contact us any other reasonable way and we will remove you within 10 business days. Reply HELP for help. Your choices
- Opt out of texts: reply STOP.
- Opt out of emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Access, correct or delete your information: contact us (below) and we will respond within 30 days.
Retention and security
Prize claims are kept until the promotion closes and prizes have been redeemed, then deleted or anonymized; the contact details stay on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Data is stored in the United States behind access controls; only the site's own server functions can read the database.
Children
The forms on this site are for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
